With PhoneGap Tools for iPhone 3.0 and Web Application Development

Build and test hybrid mobile applications for the iPhone 3.0, improved emulation experience highlight release – http://genuitec.com/mobile

Genuitec, LLC, today announced the third milestone release (M3) of MobiOne; a new enterprise-class technology that enables development of smart mobile applications using Web standards. The M3 release now includes support for the popular PhoneGap application development framework for the iPhone, enabling the development of App Store-ready mobile Web and native applications.

“With the emergence of the smartphone mobile browser, the days of vendor lock-in are behind us. For the first time, mobile developers can seriously consider developing world class cross-platform applications.” said Wayne Parrott, vice president of product development for Genuitec. “By adding PhoneGap support to our MobiOne technology stack, developers and enterprises can now develop cross-platform mobile applications with the advanced native features their project needs.”

As the mid-September release date for MobiOne version 1.0 draws closer, Genuitec has added a rich layer of functionality to its mobile development software with the inclusion of the PhoneGap framework. Now developers can create hybrid native/Web applications using the popular HTML 5, CSS3, and JavaScript Web technologies. The inclusion of PhoneGap fills the need for developers to create mobile Web applications capable of meeting App Store acceptance requirements and accessing native device services and sensors such as geolocation, contacts, accelerometer, video and sound, orientation and more.

“The future of applications on smartphones is likely to be a mix of both native and Web based applications,” said Maher Masri, president and CEO for Genuitec. “With the inclusion of PhoneGap technology in MobiOne we now offer developers a robust set of tools to quickly create the type of applications to best suit their customers or employees – all with the ability to bypass the App Store if desired.”

This third milestone release of MobiOne is available for Palm Pre and iPhone development only, but will rapidly support other smartphone devices with an aggressive delivery cycle. Targeted devices include Andriod/G1, Blackberry, and possibly Nokia and other smart devices being developed. MobiOne’s extensible “TruView” emulation technology delivers the behavior of these smartphones through a pixel-perfect experience of true smartphone behaviors, not simple graphical simulations.

Come on guys! What a way to get back on track…..tremendous action. Six chances in the first half, none converted. And guess what they do in the second half? 5 great goals.

I thought Nani was damn good, along with Valencia. They kept the wings going. Evra did very well, going forward, and Vidic brought that solidity back. I was surprised by Ben Foster. He either improved 10 fold this season over the last, or he was 10 times bad last season. Whatever it is, excellent result. Really looking forward to the Arsenal game now.

Come on gunners! We will shoot you down.

Disaster. Even that is a small word to describe what happened. If someone told be at the beginning of the season that Burnley would be the first defeat, I would have laughed at it. And now, I am weeping. Shameful, dismal performance.

Although one defeat should not trigger any knee jerk reactions, I will not be surprised if this makes Sir Alex buy someone as a cover for Rooney. Did I hear Auguero? Or even David Villa?

So, 1-0 might not be a great margin. But it is 3 points. Glad that we came off with a cleansheet. Only Evra was the first choice defender in the team that played on Sunday. Nice way to ease into the competetion. Burnley next. I am waiting for Owen to fire his first.

Its Krishna Murthy’s birth day today! My brother, friend, philosopher, guide, colleague, all in one. My co-fan of Ferrari, ManUtd, and everything else. He is the only person who enjoys my success more than I do! All the best, dear brother.

I just cant wait for the Valencia GP. By the time I got a hang of F1, Schumi hung his boots. Now I will get to see my idol in action. All you young drivers – learn from the master.

I am sad that it happened the way it happened – student gets injured and the master jumps in…almost like a Chinese karate film.

I still can’t understand why he is doing it, though. He has everything to lose and nothing to gain. But then again, I think it is for the sheer “kick” of it.

Bode well, king Michael. We are all waiting with bated breath!
